And here they are (and 5 of their synonyms) :
1. Exotic - alluring, foreign, glamorous, different, curious
2. Rich - prosperous, upscale, wealthy, affluent, plush
3. Useful - effective, instrumental, advantageous, convenient, serviceable
4. Exquisite - charming, choice, striking, fine, admirable
5. Intelligence - skill, aptitude, savvy, understanding, mentality
6. Practical - constructive, functional, usable, rational, reasonable
7. Historic - celebrated, extraordinary, significant, well-known, memorable
8. Technical - industrial, specialized, scientific, scholarly, professional
9. Celestial - holy, ethereal, astral, divine, hallowed
10. Refined - rarefy, filter, cleanse, clarify, process
I, personally, like exquisite and technical. I don't so much like celestial... it gets too holy and stuff... refined also may not apply to the astrolabe in particular, so I may scratch that one off too.
I'm open to any suggestions, of course. When people actually subscribe to me, that is.

My mission for the great Astrolabe!
I want people to feel enlightened and beautiful wearing an astrolabe. They should be able to know where the stars are, even if the wearer can't see a single star in the sky. The astrolabe could also be useful for on-the-go mathematical capabilities. Since the design isn't particularly masculine or feminine, it can be worn by any gender. The idea of functionality and fashion is what drives my vision of elegance and and beauty, and that's what I intend to convey in my ads.

Good Vs. Bad: AD ATTACK!!!!! (pt.2)
The "bad ad" example was practically porn worthy. So if bad equals shirtless men everywhere, then a good ad must be:
... smiling babies... This is actually an effective ad for several reasons. The first thing you notice? Cute, super happy baby. Most American people love seeing two things above all else: cute babies and adorable puppies (but I, personally, prefer cats more). Cute smiling baby? Your attention is now belonging to it. The text directly below it kind of goes along with the picture, in that the word "happy" is involved. Another key word here is "home." People need a home to live in, at least, I hope so. And considering the house market in the present, it's even more effective. So, you have to assume that the target audience are prospecting parents, what, with the baby and home and all that, so now we get to what the ad is actually promoting, loans. Something to point out here real quick, they actually put down two paragraphs of information, which is really good. The more information a person has, the more sure of the good (?) move they're going to make with this loan.
Information, desperate audience, bouncing baby. This is a good ad. It grabs the attention, catches it again, and runs down its' business.

Good Vs. Bad: AD ATTACK!!!!! (pt.1)
Ok, first assignment, and we have to find the good ads, and the bad. My first look at an ad starts with, not a word, but a sound:
Grrrrrrrooww. Hot, sweaty, ripped guys that are about to make nitty-grity love (lust) to some chick (wish it was me). Ok, so, how is this a bad ad? It certainly grabs some attention with those sexy abs and pecs, but what the hell is this ad about?! This couldn't be a clothes ad because those clothes look better off than on. It also couldn't be about perfume because even though the "sensual" factor of typical perfume ads is present, there should only be one guy and/or one girl in the picture (usually rubbing or touching) but there are many (hot) guys, and only one girl in this ad. Until I actually look up Dolce & Gabbana, I just have to assume that this ad is promoting a bukakke scene in some weird fashion porn DVD, because that is one of the few things I can only see this as.
And that is why this ad is a bad ad.
P.S: One should also note the huge negative space above the guy bent over the gal. Who here wants to see another sexy guy in that space? It would make sense, if you're promoting clothes, to put more guys with clothes on there. In that negative space. Or without clothes. Just saying.
